Forms of energy

P6.5 went to the Science Centre for a lesson on forms of energy today.

We did some interesting activities that we don't get to do in school.

By moving the magnet in and out of a coil of wire continuously, a current is detected on the Galvanometer. This is actually electromagnetic induction, the principle behind the generator.

This is another interesting one. When a coil of wire is connected to a dry cell, the coil produces a magnetic field which turns the compass needle.

We had a nice time there.
