Mechanical Arm

For science club last week, we constructed a mechanical arm using ice - cream sticks and thumbtacks.


It was difficult to punch the thumbtack through without splitting the stick. But we managed to find a way to overcome this problem - we dipped the stick in water to soften it.

I think the pupils had fun making it.
